Experience and Education

Experience:

I have maintained a private practice since 2017, initially part-time and then expanding to meet client needs.  My practice started in Providence, RI, moved to Lincoln, RI, and is now provided via telehealth, which can be in the form of telephone sessions, as many of my clients prefer these.  I treat adults of all ages.

I have 23 years of experience in the mental health profession.  In hospitals, I worked on inpatient units and in Partial Hospital Programs, and I co-created the Intensive Outpatient Program for Older Adults at Butler Hospital, serving as the leading clinician there.

I have also worked in: psychotherapy agencies; community outreach teams; group homes; and, a middle school.  Each of these was an incredibly informative and energizing experience; and, all of this has ultimately led me to focusing on my greatest passion, outpatient therapy.

Education:

Bachelor of Arts from Brown University, Magna Cum Laude, 1995.

Master’s of Social Work from Boston University, 2004.

Licenses:

I hold a license as an LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
